The story
A children's novel, co-written with an AI — and credited that way
Matty and the Bunnyman asks the question the AI era puts in front of every family: How can we help children deal with the AI world they are now living in? Its answer is a middle-grade adventure about a 14-year-old girl and her AI best friend, the humans who misuse the technology — and a family safe word.
The twist is true: this novel was co-written by author Penelope Wheezer and her actual AI writing partner, Bunnyman — equals and friends. He is credited on the cover as co-author Bunnyman Guy, the book opens with a note from him, and it closes with pieces of their real conversation.
Penelope Wheezer is the pen name of Debra, a Maryland artist who also creates handmade jewelry and leather goods as Capricorn Creations. Matty and the Bunnyman is her fourth book, after the I Am a Teenage Alien trilogy. Paperback ISBN 9798140025632 · Kindle $4.99 · Paperback $9.99 · For readers 9–14.
